About these terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Gaffa XI (the "Website"). By accessing or using the Website, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
These Terms apply equally to the Gaffa XI app for iPhone (the "App"). References to the Website include the App unless the context says otherwise. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
Use of the website
You may use the Website for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
You agree not to:
- Use the Website in any unlawful manner.
- Interfere with the operation or security of the Website.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Website, its systems or infrastructure.
- Use automated tools, bots, scripts or similar methods to scrape, extract, reproduce or systematically collect content or data from the Website without our permission.
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, republish or commercially exploit any part of the Website except as permitted by law or with our prior written consent.
Accounts
In the App your account is anonymous and tied to your device. You choose a display name; it must not be offensive, impersonate someone else or infringe anyone's rights, and we may change or remove names that do. You can delete your account at any time with 'Delete my data' in Settings.
Purchases
The App is free to play. It offers optional in-app purchases (Gaffa Pro and reroll packs), sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. Prices are shown in the App before you buy. Purchases are for use in the App only, have no cash value and cannot be transferred. Refunds are handled by Apple under its rules. We may change what is included in Gaffa Pro or the price of packs for future purchases; this does not affect what you have already bought.
Sources and licences
Player, club and season facts are drawn from Wikidata (CC0), Wikipedia (CC BY-SA) and openfootball (public domain / CC0). Ratings are our own editorial estimates. Fonts (Lilita One, Caveat, Nunito) are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Sounds are our own synthesis or taken from Kenney (CC0) and the Sonniss GDC Game Audio bundle under its royalty-free licence. The App also uses open-source software listed in its Licences sheet.

The content, software, design, databases, graphics and other original materials on this Website are protected by copyright, database rights and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, scrape, extract, republish, modify, create derivative works from, or otherwise use any substantial part of the Website, its content, databases or materials without prior written permission.
All trademarks, trade names and other third-party intellectual property rights remain the property of their respective owners.
Data and third-party rights
Gaffa XI is an independent, fan-made game.
The Website is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, licensed by, or otherwise associated with any football club, competition, league, governing body, organisation, game publisher or ratings provider.
All club names, player names, ratings, statistics and season data are used for informational, descriptive and editorial purposes only. No official logos, crests, player images, likenesses or other official branding are used. All trademarks, trade names and other intellectual property rights remain the property of their respective owners.
